Howdy speedgolf family! Order in the court!!! We. WILL. Have. Order!!!

Call for cases: the Speedgolf Supreme Court will be in session soon

Do you have a complaint, a grievance, an issue where you feel you may have been wronged in speedgolf?

If that’s you, submit your case to the Speedgolf Supreme Court by replying to this message.

Rules disputes are welcome, but so are questions of etiquette, sportsmanship, tournament administration, and the spirit of the game.

Cases may be petty. They may be consequential. They may involve events that happened six years ago and that you are, quite reasonably, still mad about.

We will convene a panel of distinguished speedgolf justices to discuss the cases live on the Speedgolf Baby Audio Experience and issue a ruling.

To submit a case, just reply to this email or message me on Instagram.

Mini mailbag: Really? A 99 by 2029?

Illustration of a speedgolfer in a green cap reading a letter surrounded by scorecards, clubs, and running figures

Can a speedgolfer really shoot 99 by 2029?

You said we’ll see a 99 speedgolf score by 2029. Maybe on a pitch & putt course, bro. Not on something legit. You know what? Why don’t we just bastardize the game and play on shorter and shorter courses until somebody shoots 99? I’m not seeing (other than Steve Vancil) many scores at, or under, par. Fact: it took 27 years for Josh Kerr to break the mile world record. — Anonymous

First, I agree that 99 is a ludicrous speedgolf score if you’re playing on a 6,000-yard / 4-mile setup. But my whole point is that the ratchet of elite performance has hardly touched speedgolf. Jamie Reid—who, don’t forget, already shot 98 on a non-conforming golf course—is the best all-around athlete ever to play this game. At some point, a Steph Curry-level talent will pick up the sport.

When Robin Smith shot 64 (-8) in 40 minutes, I thought that was a pretty respectable golf score. Sure, we don’t see under-par golf scores that often, but it only takes one to shatter a previously unthinkable barrier.

I don’t know who it will be or where they’ll do it, but I still think the best speedgolf round of all time is ahead of us, not behind.

James Hardy and the case of the visible abs

James Hardy shirtless after a round at the U.S. Speedgolf Open

U.S. Speedgolf Open champ James Hardy posted his post-round interview with Nick “the Pink Streak” Evans.

The comment section is frankly a cesspool of people commenting on Hardy’s body instead of his speedgolf performance.

Everyone who posted a comment should take a long look in the mirror. Maybe I should tell their spouses what they’re doing on the internet…

Don’t make me start an OnlyFans

Satirical Speedgolf Baby fundraiser graphic featuring Smokey Bear and a fictional OnlyFans page

Thanks to everyone who is supporting my trip to the Speedgolf World Championships in November. We are 70% of the way to our goal.

To get this fundraiser across the finish line, I’ve considered starting an OnlyFans account. Maybe I can get James Hardy to do a guest arc…

If you want to prevent this atrocity, buy me a coffee on Ko-Fi and help me get to New Zealand, where I’ll be publishing daily.

Upcoming speedgolf

Find your next tournament or meetup on Speedgolf Directory. Here’s what I’m looking forward to.

Until next week, keep it in the short grass!
