Build a small speedgolf club set

A good starter speedgolf set covers distance, recovery, short game, and putting with as few clubs as you can confidently carry.
  1. 1

    Keep the top end simple

Choose one club you trust from the tee, often a driver, hybrid, or fairway wood.

  2. 2

    Add a versatile iron

A mid iron or utility iron handles punch-outs and controlled approaches.

  3. 3

Do not skip the scoring clubs

Bring a wedge and putter unless you have a specific reason not to.

The ideal set is personal. Some players love a driver. Others would rather keep every tee shot in play with a hybrid.

The rule is simple: if a club creates more decisions than it solves, leave it at home.
